Walkthrough
Objectives
Claptrap Repair Kit: This should have everything a dying Claptrap needs.
1. Finding the Claptrap
The Claptrap can be found in the first main open area/room that you come to in Tetanus Warren. The first image shows the location on the Tetanus Warren map, the second image shows the in-game area. You most likely will have to fight a group of Spiderants and a group of Bandits in this area.
2. Finding the Repair Kit
The required Repair Kit can be found further along in the tunnels of Tetanus Warren. From the Claptrap, follow the north west passage/tunnel to the location indicated on the third image. When you get to a platform on the right which has a table and chairs, you will see a large metal structure curving up just beyond it. The repair kit is on a ledge there.
Once at this location, you will have to do a bit of jumping in order to obtain the Repair Kit. As you can see from the directions in the remaining four images, you will have to walk up the ramp made of metal scraps to the roof of a shack. Walk out onto the canopy and jump to the roof of the adjacent hut (dome shaped). Walk out onto the canopy of this hut and jump to a platform made of a piece of metal scrap. From this platform, you can walk forward and collect the Repair Kit.
An alternative that may be easier is to stand at the end of the platform just underneath and short of where the repair kit is. Look up towards the repair kit and jump. You should see the icon for the repair kit. If you do not also see the stats menu, move up a little and jump again until you see it, then jump up and press X (on the Xbox) to fetch the kit. This method of getting items which are high out of reach can be used in several places in the game.
3. Returning the Repair Kit
Return to the Claptrap to receive your Backpack SDU. This Claptrap does nothing special once repaired. Note: On a second play through, Claptrap rescue quests usually give you a grenade mod instead of the Backpack SDU.
