Objectives
1. Finding the Claptrap
When you first enter Krom's Canyon head to the right. Head up the second set of platforms on the right. There is a crane here with the tool box on it, don't worry about the Repair Kit just yet. Head left across the canyon to find the Claptrap.
2. Finding the Repair Kit
Once you've spoken with him, continue heading backwards (towards the entrance) on the same platform that the Claptrap was on. You'll cross a high bridge over the canyon. Look on your left for a way to jump onto one the piers of the previously mentioned crane. From here you can jump to the pier under the crane's hoist which holds the Repair Kit. If you fall you'll have to run back around.
3. Returning the Repair Kit
Once you have to the Repair Kit, return the Claptrap. Be sure to hang around after to fix him and he'll lead you to a weapons crate.
