This skill tree centers around explosive damage through guns and skills, with some bonuses to guns in general.

|Killbot||1||5||Killing an enemy heals you for up to 7% of your max health but drains 2% of your max shields per rank. The lower your health, the more healing you receive.|
|Coincidental Combustion||2||5||Whenever you shoot an enemy with a non-Explosive weapon, you have a 7% chance per rank to deal bonus Explosive damage. The bonus damage is based on the weapon's damage.|
|Repulsive||2||5||When struck by a melee attack, you emit a powerful Blastwave that pushes enemies away and deals Explosive damage; the Blastwave's radius increases with rank. Has a 5 second cooldown.|
|Second Wind (by Tediore)||3||1||When you enter Fight For Your Life, you throw a digistructed copy of yourself that explodes like a grenade, and constantly emit Explosive novas.|
|Load 'n' Splode||4||5||Whenever you reload your gun, you gain +4% increased Explosive damage per rank for a few seconds. Stacks up to 5 times.|
|I Am Rubber, You Are Glue||4||1||Kill Skill. When you kill an enemy, bullets have a 25% chance to reflect off you and towards enemies for a short time. Unlocks the ACTION PACKAGE Torgue Fiesta.|
|Start With a Bang||4||5||Firing a fully loaded gun after reloading causes an Explosive Nova centered on you with damage based on your rank, but drains 1% of your current health per rank.|
|Hyperion Punch||5||5||Melee Override. Dealing Explosive damage adds a stack of Hyperion Punch. Once you have 5 stacks, press [melee] to throw a punch that deals bonus Incendiary Damage and consumes all stacks. Bonus damage increases with rank.|
|One Last Thing||5||5||The last shot in the magazine of any weapon deals +80% damage per rank. Weapons with a magazine size smaller than 8 receive a reduced bonus.|
|Livin' Near the Edge||6||1||Increases fire rate and reload speed by up to +100% each. The lower your health and shields, the greater the bonus. Unlocks the ACTION PACKAGE Pirate Ship Mode.|
This skill tree provides boosts to Claptrap and his teammates, particularly rewarding teamwork, taking damage and healing his friends.
|Best Buds 4 Life||1||5||Whenever you are revived or revive someone else, both of you gain +7% damage resistance and regenerate 0.5% max health per second per rank, for a few seconds. You gain +5% per rank to both gun damage while downed and Fight For Your Life duration.|
|Maniacal Laughter||1||5||Increases status effect chance by +4% per level. Dealing status effect damage to enemies grants stacks of Maniacal Laughter (max 200). You and your friends regenerate up to 0.03% max health per second per rank for each stack. You regenerate more health if your health is low.|
|Through Thick and Thin||2||5||Increases Action Skill cooldown rate by +4% per rank. While VaultHunter.EXE is running, this bonus is transferred to your allies.|
|Kick Him While He's Down||2||1||While in Fight For Your Life, you draw aggro from nearby enemies. Unlocks the ACTION PACKAGE Clap-in-the-Box.|
|All The Things Are Awesome!||2||5||Increases your fire rate by +3%, weapon swap speed by +3% and max health by +5% per rank. For each teammate in the game, you gain an additional +1% fire rate, +1% weapon swap speed and +2% max health per rank.|
|You're... GOING TO LOVE ME!!||3||1||Killing an enemy creates a Friendship Nova centered on it, healing you and any friends by up to 15% of your max health in the radius. Players with low health are healed for more. Unlocks the ACTION PACKAGE Gun Wizard.|
|Wax Off, Wax On||4||5||Increases your shield capacity and shield recharge rate by +3% and decreases your shield recharge delay by -3% per rank.|
|It's a Trap... Card||4||1||When your shield is depleted, you release a Mega-Nova that heals you and your friends for up to 15% of your max health, and damages enemies. Players low on health are healed for more. Your shield must fully recharge between Novas.|
|Pain Simulator is Painful||4||5||Increases your max health by +6% per rank and grants damage reduction of +4.8% based on rank.|
|Kick Him While He's Up||5||5||When you gain a Second Wind, your gun damage, melee damage and critical hit damage are all increased by +5% per rank for a short time.|
|Organized Guns are Happy Guns||5||5||Increases your magazine size with all weapons by +5% per rank. Increases your teammates' magazine sizes by +2% per rank.|
|HIGH FIVES GUYS||6||1||Hold [melee] to request a high five from your friends. If you receive a high five, you and your teammate receive +15% gun damage, +50% fire rate and regenerate 3% max health per second for a while. If you don't receive a high five or don't have any teammates, you gain the gun damage and health regeneration bonuses for a few seconds. 30 second cooldown between high fives. This skill can be triggered by enemy melee attacks.|
This skill tree centers on the use of Subroutines. These are persistent effects on Claptrap which switch over time, each favoring a certain style of play. This rewards him for being versatile and adaptable. Each time a Subroutine is selected, Claptrap gains 100 Frag Stacks, which decrease over time. A new Subroutine is chosen whenever the Frag Stacks reach zero.
|All the Guns||1||1||You randomly pick a Subroutine based on one or more gun types. You gain +25% damage, +20% fire rate and +20% reload speed with the selected types, but -15% damage with all other gun types.|
|Fuzzy Logic||1||3||Taking damage from an enemy increases your critical hit damage by 10% per rank for a few seconds.|
|Safety First||1||1||You randomly pick a Subroutine based on either health or shields, which increases the capacity of that attribute by +35% and regenerates it by 2.5% of its max per second. However your gun damage is decreased by 15%.|
|Surprised? Stabilize!||2||5||Taking damage from an enemy increases your accuracy and recoil reduction by +10% per rank for a few seconds.|
|Rope-a-Derp||2||1||You randomly pick a melee-focused Subroutine, which grants +150% melee damage but -15% gun damage for the duration.|
|Blue Shell||2||5||Increases gun damage, fire rate and reload speed by +7% per rank while in Fight For Your Life, and increases its duration by +7% per rank.|
|Tripleclocked||3||1||Multiplies the bonuses and penalties of the current Subroutine by up to three. The less Frag Stacks, the greater the multiplier, though defensive Subroutines always receive triple capacity. Unlocks the ACTION PACKAGE One-Shot Wonder.|
|Grenade Vent||4||5||Increases grenade damage by +9% per rank. Throwing a grenade adds +1 Frag Stack per rank.|
|Element of Surprise||4||1||You randomly pick a Subroutine focused on one elemental type, increasing all damage of that element by +32% but decreasing damage of other elements by -16%. When your shield is depleted, filled or when you enter Fight For Your Life, you release a Nova of the chosen element.|
|Death Machine||4||5||When you kill an enemy, you gain +6% gun damage, +6% reload speed and +4% movement speed per rank for a few seconds.|
|Cryogenic Exhaust Manifold||5||5||Whenever you Slam, you release a Cryo Nova with damage based on rank and lose -1 Frag Stack per rank.|
|Float like a Bee||5||5||Increases melee damage by +6% per rank. When you kill an enemy with a melee attack, you gain +1 Frag Stack and recover 5% of your max health per rank, as well as gaining +3% movement speed per rank for a few seconds.|
|Rainbow Coolant||6||1||Whenever you initiate a new Subroutine you emit a huge Rainbow Nova that does damage of all elemental types. Unlocks the ACTION PACKAGE Laser Inferno.|
If you hold out your hand with the HIGH FIVES GUYS skill, enemies can also activate the high five by hitting you such as a teammate would.
- Whenever Claptrap character release the rainbow nova with the Rainbow Coolant skill, he get surrounded by small pictures of happiness and a narwhal with a rainbow colored horn rises from where you originally used it.
