The Butcher does not have the necessary damage to be used like a normal shotgun; it's projectile count is simply too low. It's accuracy is in the mediocre range, so it's best used in a "hit-and-run" fashion, like the [[Crux|Maliwan Crux]]. Unfortunately, the Butcher does not have a mandatory elemental accessory. This means that to effectively neutralize a target, the player will have to get within range, expend the magazine, and get back behind cover if the target is not destroyed. Due to The Butcher's low damage, this may have to be repeated for the stronger enemies on Pandora.
