For other uses, see Bouncing Bettie Grenade and Bouncing Betty Grenade (Bandit).

Bouncing Betty is a common Grenade Mod manufactured by Dahl. The Bouncing Betty is obtained randomly from any suitable loot source.

Usage & Description

The Bouncing Betty Grenade bounces and sprays the surrounding area with bullets over a period of time. They generally have a low damage but attack the enemy multiple times. The grenade does cause a small explosion when it activates or explodes but it does not cause damage to allies. It is effective in area denial as well as against enemies behind low cover; as the grenade bounces it has a homing feature, slowly closing any distance to available enemies, covering a large area and hitting enemies behind low objects.

Bouncing Betties (and their Bandit equivalent, Jumpin' Bitties / Biddies) also function well in enclosed spaces, where MIRVs and Area of Effect Grenades run the risk of inflicting Friendly Fire damage. Since Betties can determine friend from foe, whereas AoE grenades cannot, they are safer to use in close proximity to oneself and allies.

Notable Variants

  • Bouncing Bonny - Legendary grenade mod. A fusion between MIRV and bouncing betty grenades.
  • Crossfire - Seraph grenade mod very similar to the previous but deploying child grenades faster.
  • Kills with Bouncing Betty grenades count towards the Betty Boom challenge.
