Bloomreaper the Invincible

Bloomreaper the Invincible is a raid boss added to Borderlands 4 on December 11, 2025, located in a new zone called The Bloom.

Strategy

The fight against Bloomreaper has three phases. During all stages the player will be assaulted by lesser creeps, which can include viles and badasses. Each stage ends when Bloomreaper has received enough damage.

First Stage

Bloomreaper will emerge from the middle of the tall center plateau at the beginning of the fight and remain there through the first phase. He will lash out at nearby players and occasionally do an area of effect attack proceeded by a warning flash. To end this stage, the vile crystals on the ground surrounding Bloomreaper must be destroyed. These work like the crystals on vile enemies, and are only permanently removed by attacking the orbs that emerge from them when they are broken.

Explosive weapons with timed charges work well in this stage, as their splash damage can often destroy the orbs immediately after their crystals are broken, saving the player from having to attack them separately.

Second Stage

At the beginning of this stage Bloomreaper will have a brief period of invincibility. Damaging thorns will cover the tall platform, preventing it from being used, and Bloomreaper will move to the lower ones, jumping from platform to platform, attacking and sometimes following the player. He also gains an eyebeam attack that pushes vault hunters as it damages them and can send them flying away from nearby grapple points to their deaths.

Because lesser creeps only spawn when the player touches the ground, one strategy to avoid being swarmed is to stay in mid-air as much as possible. This, however, makes the player more vulnerable to Bloomreaper's pushing eyebeam attack.

Third Stage

Bloomreaper will enter a second period of invincibility at the beginning of this stage. The final phase is similar to the second, except the thorns on the upper platform are removed and a sandstorm significantly reduces visibility.

After Defeat

When Bloomreaper is defeated, he will drop loot where he died, and a teleportation rift will appear above the middle platform that will provide transportation to treasure chests that vary based on whether Bloomreaper was fought in the context of a mission and how quickly he was defeated.
