Blood Overdrive is a tier 2 skill in Krieg's Bloodlust skill tree. Killing an enemy with a bullet increases Krieg's Melee Damage and reduces Grenade Fuse Time for each stack of Bloodlust he has.


Melee Damage is increased by 0.5% per stack for each point invested. Fuse Time is decreased by 0.005 seconds per stack for each point invested.

Can only leveled past 5 with Blister, Reaper, and Legendary Reaper class mods.


  • This skill works during Buzz Axe Rampage if a kill is achieved just prior to activation, but will not work when activating Release the Beast because the timer (7 seconds) will run out unless a Blister, Reaper, or Legendary Reaper class mod is equipped to extend it.
  • This skill will not be activated by killing an enemy with splash damage from elemental weapons. This includes Maliwan pistols, all Torgue guns and any other assault rifle that uses the Torgue barrel.
    • However, killing an enemy with a direct hit from a Torgue or Maliwan weapon will activate this skill. This does not apply to assault rifles that fire miniature rockets and regular-sized rocket launchers.
    • The only exceptions to the previous rules are the Cobra, Maliwan sniper rifles (which have splash damage) and the Hyperion Splatgun. They can all activate this skill with splash damage or direct hit.
  • Blood Overdrive's melee component is bugged. It incorrectly references Taste of Blood instead of its own level, while levels in Blood Overdrive instead provide a constant bonus of 10% per level, regardless of current bloodlust stacks.[1] The Grenade Fuse Time component, however, functions correctly.
