The Black Hole is a Legendary shield manufactured by Maliwan. Black Hole is obtained randomly from any suitable loot source, but has an increased chance to drop from Foreman Jasper located in Opportunity.
Special Shield Effect
You are the center of the universe. – Pulls nearby enemies towards the wearer when its shield charge is depleted (similar to a Singularity Grenade). This can be helpful in getting second winds, provided shield depletion and getting downed occur in quick succession.
Notes
- The Black Hole has the highest nova damage in the game, but the Flame of the Firehawk will release more novas in a short period of time, which may result in more total damage from the latter even if the damage of each nova is lesser
- The Black Hole pulls enemies towards the wearer when fully depleted. This, combined with one of the highest nova damages in the game, makes it very helpful when fighting mobs.
- This shield can be extremely effective when used by a mechromancer who invests heavily in her Little Big Trouble tree andBlood Soaked Shields . Once the shield goes down, along with the singularity effect, the massive shock nova damage will devastate the normal variants of bandits, which will then recharge your shield and allow for more novas.
