The Bank or Marcus Bank is a feature added with Mad Moxxi's Underdome Riot, allowing players to store items from their inventory. The bank is located in The Underdome. To access the bank, players talk to the Claptrap in the tuxedo, who acts as the cashier. The Bank was created as a subsidiary of Marcus Corp. and to celebrate its opening, Marcus Corp. funded Mad Moxxi's Underdome Riot so that the player could kill "hundreds and hundreds" of people.[1]

The Bank was added due to the request of many players of not being able to carry ALL of their equipment.[2] The Bank will store all the player's equipment without the worry of clogging up the player's inventory with things they are not sure to do with. It will carry its own unique orange screen (similar to Vending Machines) in which you can either deposit or withdraw items. You can upgrade the storage space of your bank by buying Bank Upgrades which, for now, can only be bought from Marcus's Red Weapons Vending Machine.

Bank upgrades can be purchased from Marcus's Red Weapons Vending Machine. As with any purchasable SDU, you can "skip ahead" and buy a higher level, saving money by not buying the intermediate steps.
