Badass Defender.SubRoutine bots are a large and dangerous type of Insecurity encountered in the Claptastic Voyage DLC from Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel.
Subconscious Version
Very Insecure Badass Bot, in Subconscious
In the map Subconscious, Badass Defender.SubRoutines are called Very Insecure Badass Bots and have a different model and skin. They behave exactly the same way, however.

Badass Defender.SubRoutines are large Insecurity bots with a large health pool and a range of powerful attacks. They have a beam laser attack which has good range and can easily take a Vault Hunter down from full shields to very little health, if the full brunt of the laser is taken. They can additionally open up a set of missile-launcher pods on each side of their heads, which will launch seeking missiles at the Vault Hunters.
Notes
- In True Vault Hunter Mode, they are renamed Super Badass Defender.SubRoutine, and in Ultimate Vault Hunter Mode, they are renamed Ultimate Badass Defender.SubRoutine.
- In the map Subconscious Very Insecure Badass Bots are renamed Very Insecure Super Badass Bot in True Vault Hunter Mode, and Very Insecure Ultimate Badass Bot in Ultimate Vault Hunter Mode.
