Ascendant Grawns are Badass-class enemies encountered in the Guns, Love, and Tentacles expansion for Borderlands 3. They serve as celebrants and enforcers for the Bonded cult.
Strategy
Usually armed with a Shotgun and a Bonded Shield, they will often close in on their opponents. Like the Slasher Grawn and Bulwark Grawn, they will utilize the Bonded Shield as a means of defense; the shield can be temporarily destroyed by concentrated fire on the heart in the middle, leaving the Grawn more open to damage before he conjures a replacement. When armed with the shield, he will also pounce at his enemies and slam the shield into the ground, creating powerful tremors that should be avoided by any means necessary. Most notably, however is the resilient armor bar above their health, making them an even greater threat, disregarding his powerful offensive capabilities.
Notes
- In Mayhem Mode and True Vault Hunter Mode they are renamed Ascendant Grawnik.
