Anarchist is the title of a group of common pistols in Borderlands 2 and Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel. They are manufactured exclusively by Vladof and features the Vladof barrel.

Usage & Description

Anarchists feature an elongated structure with twin barrels; this is the signature Vladof pistol barrel, which rotates when fired. They feature somewhat low damage per shot for a pistol, but the high rate of fire and good capacity give Anarchist a very high damage per second.

Any character with skills that increase fire rate will be well paired with the Anarchist pistol. For example Salvador can make excellent use of Anarchist pistols while Gunzerking due to their fast reload speed and extremely high rate of fire. This can be further enhanced by choosing skills such as Keep Firing... and Locked and Loaded.

Other examples of this are: Axton with his Metal Storm, Duty Calls or Ranger skills; or Krieg with Embrace the Pain or Elemental Elation skills.

Notable variants

Borderlands 2
- Infinity – Legendary pistol that fires in a fixed lemniscate pattern. Does not consume ammo.
- Stinger – Seraph pistol that fires projectiles which ricochet off of surfaces and fly in an enemy's general direction.
Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel
- Proletarian Revolution – Legendary pistol with a magazine size increases over time when the gun is not fired.

Notes

The Anarchist is obtained randomly from any suitable loot source.
Like other pistols that use the Vladof's rotating barrel, this weapon only comes in green rarity or higher.
