The Aggressive Expansion is a relatively powerful shotgun with no major drawbacks while at the same time excels in no particular area. It always consumes one round per trigger pull. The Tediore barrel offers no additional perks to the weapon base stats but it does slightly lower their accuracy. This weapon has a permanent damage multiplier on variants of every rarity, making it a commodity for any situation.

The variants of this shotgun can spawn with Hyperion's new-style or old-style sets of materials and prefixes.
Old-style Aggressive Expansions have higher damage output at the cost of lower accuracy, significantly reduced fire rate and big reload time penalties. They also have a limited version of Hyperion's "reverse recoil".
The Aggressive Expansion is obtained randomly from any suitable loot source.
